Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Engineering)Full timeSenex is a world-class supplier of affordable, reliable, and secure energy, committed to delivering essential energy for life.We're proudly local with operations located near Wandoan and Roma in Queensland's Surat Basin.As a critical energy provider to Australia's manufacturing industry, supporting thousands of workers who make essential goods - from bricks to plasterboard to glass bottles.Senex is proud to play our part in the global energy transformation, delivering essential energy for the journey to a cleaner energy future.Our Head Office is in Brisbane, and we also have offices close to our producing assets in Roma and Wandoan, Queensland.Our CultureWe care deeply about creating a workplace where our team members feel valued, respected and empowered to genuinely make a difference.We offer a high-performance work environment where employees are encouraged to continuously improve the way we do things in the pursuit of fit for purpose practices and solutions that are efficient, effective and sustainable.We value integrity and collaboration and are committed to strong delivery and performance for our teammates, our customers, and the communities in which we operate.Position OverviewWe are currently seeking a Senior Instrument Electrical and Controls (IEC) Engineer to join our Brisbane based team.The purpose of the Senior Instrument Electrical and Controls (IEC) Engineer is to ensure all IEC assets within Senex's Qld operations are installed, operated and maintained to compliance with all relevant legislative and Senex procedures, standards and requirements.Key AccountabilitiesSingle point accountability for Senex's custody metering systems.Working within a team to provide support to Operations and the wider business for Senex's Instrumentation, Controls, or Electrical Systems, including High Voltage and Hazardous Area compliance.Develop and perform maintenance policies and routines for the PLC's, field RTUs, instrumentation, analysers and metering and their associated inputs/outputs.Undertaking reviews and audits of installed instruments/electrical plant, equipment and systems to ensure installations meet relevant legislation and code requirements.Perform changes and engage contractors as necessary for larger work programs utilising the Senex Management of Change process.Support operations with troubleshooting, rectification, surveillance and training, both onsite and remotely from the Brisbane office.Provide specialist input and support to project teams designing future instrument, electrical, or control systems, ensuring compatibility with existing systems and practices.Take a lead role in pre-commissioning checks, commissioning activities, and troubleshooting as relevant to discipline and plant being installed.Operations representative in factory acceptance and site acceptance testing as required.Writing scopes-of-work and management of maintenance contracts.High Voltage Electrical Engineer (delegation when HV electrical Engineer absent).Planning, execution and management of discipline specific work scopes for shutdowns, projects works and maintenance.Identifying opportunities to improve reliability, reduce waste, and increase value through innovation and application of new technology.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:Education: Bachelor's Degree, preferred background in Electrical, Instrument or Control System Engineering.Work experience: min. 8 years post graduate experience within the IEC discipline in an engineering and operational environment.Hands on experience with PLCs, RTUs, SCADA, Custody Metering, instrumentation, HV electrical, Hazardous Area electrical, maintenance and operations within an industrial environment.RPEQ (Electrical preferred).Must have a valid car driving license.Willingness to travel to remote site locations ad hoc for operational assistance and maintenance.What's in it for you?Attractive, market competitive remuneration package.An inclusive team of industry experts who promote collaboration and innovation.Celebrated success stories with 'Living the Senex Values' Awards.A range of health and wellness benefits.A learning platform housing over 100,000 resources.16 weeks paid parental leave.ApplicationsAll applications should include a cover letter which addresses your suitability for the position, along with a current resume.
