About the role As part of a small specialised team, the Senior Hydrographer will plan and coordinate operational procedures required for the monitoring, collection, analysis, and reporting of information relating to water resources in Tasmania.Operate the NRE Tas time-series database "AQUARIUS".Maintain streamflow and groundwater station infrastructure.Carry out repairs to hydraulic civil structures and electronic water monitoring equipment.Provide specialised and authoritative advice on water quantity issues. Minimum Requirements A Diploma from a recognised TAFE institution, or an equivalent qualification, appropriate to the nature of the work. Civil Engineering or Surveying qualifications highly regarded.Unrestricted driver's licence.Ability to swim.Ability to work at heights.Swift Water/Boating training.A current First Aid certificate.
