We are looking for a Senior Hydrogeologist to join our innovative Groundwater team. We take pride in delivering high-quality and innovative hydrogeological solutions in all our work. Our diverse range of projects spans the mining and energy sectors, demanding creative approaches in a rapidly evolving industry. Our team is large, international, and well-connected, featuring experienced and well-recognised groundwater specialists. We partner with our clients to provide pragmatic and innovative solutions, operating with a global delivery model that exposes you to a variety of challenging and meaningful projects both in Australia and internationally and the opportunity to develop by working directly with many experienced mentors. The role will ideally be located out of our Sydney office, however, can also be based out of Newcastle or Brisbane.
Here's what you can expect You'll join a team of experienced hydrogeologists and industry leaders; this is what your new role will offer:
Effectively manage and coordinate various projects, including budgets and schedules. Serve as a groundwater lead, liaising with clients, subcontractors, and government departments, and produce high-quality outputs for your projects. Navigate through technically interesting projects that require innovative solutions. Work autonomously, whilst continuing to be a key team member, collaborating with peers in Groundwater and our wider business. Continue your own development working alongside industry leaders both within groundwater and our other multidisciplinary teams. Actively look for opportunities to secure follow-on work from existing clients. Mentor junior team members, ensuring their continued growth and excellence. Here's what you'll bring to have impact A strong foundation in hydrogeology, with specific experience in impact assessments. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proven experience delivering projects within the mining sector. Experience in asset transition or pumped hydro would be advantageous. A degree in environmental engineering or geoscience preferably with a focus on geology, hydrogeology, and/or groundwater management. Ideally, a working knowledge of NSW and/or QLD Government groundwater-related legislation.
