About the Role: We are continually looking for enthusiastic and talented people to join our team.
We are currently expanding our team based in Brisbane, QLD and are seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist on a permanent full-time basis.
Key responsibilities and activities include: • Provide senior-level capability in project management and delivery, business development and technical support for the hydrogeology team
• Provide technical oversight of ongoing project for junior staff through scope development and deliverable review as a key supplement to the Principal Hydrogeologist
• Business development through proposal writing and contributions to the hydrogeology business strategy
• Support staff with mentoring, coaching and technical review.
• Work as part of a project team, delivering reports that summarise the outcomes of the project
• Provide data analysis and conceptualisation support for hydrogeological projects.
• Collaborate and define technical direction from senior staff and operate with a level of autonomy in completing directed tasks
• Complete tasks to meet budget, quality and timeline requirements.
• Undertake role with a strong focus on safety of self and others.
• Some travel and site work may be required intermittently
Knowledge, Experience and Skill requirements include: • Technical proficiency in hydrogeology and general geoscience.
• Have 5+ years' experience in a similar position, providing advice to the mining, construction, energy, industrial processing, or public sectors
• Be a highly motivated self-starter who is able to prioritise tasks, work autonomously and contribute to a positive team culture both in the local office and for ATC Williams more broadly
• Good project management skills, including understanding project objectives, maintaining client expectations aligned with project scope, maintaining project schedule and internal resources to deliver projects according to expectations.
• Good data analysis and data management skills.
• Good written communication skills, including report writing and proposal preparation.
• Good verbal communication skills, including ability to engage with clients.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including demonstrated competence in analytical and/or numerical modelling for groundwater assessments.
• Groundwater hydrology and hydraulics
• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability in working well in teams
• Member of professional body and on track for relevant chartership.
• Degree in Geology/Hydrogeology/Civil Engineering with post graduate qualifications and/or experience in consulting projects
• Applied geochemistry /water chemistry / water quality assessments would be highly regarded but is not essential.
• Experience in mine water hydrology and management would be highly regarded, but is not essential
