Full time, fixed term opportunity until March 2026 Utilise your expertise to provide HR administrative support Base Salary $99,455 + 17% superannuation About the opportunity The Senior Human Resources Officer manages general administrative support including preparing documents, responding to complex queries, exploring matters, and sourcing solutions to support of the delivery for the casual academic planning to pay process.
The incumbent will be expected to provide guidance and support to administrative staff across the University, utilising their extensive administrative experience and judgement and provide advice on policy and procedures for the delivery of work outcomes Your key responsibilities will be to: provide support and training to Casual Academics' Administration Officers (CAAO) and act as the escalation point for CAAO team members provide specialist guidance and advice to colleagues and clients relating to casual academic workload allocation, maintenance, timesheets, timesheet reconciliations, CASS scheduling and relevant policies respond to a range of complex enquiries via telephone, email and in person, regarding casual academic work allocations, pay codes, timesheets and general support initiate and develop professional relationship with faculty administrative staff and other internal stakeholders and contributes positively to the team environment support the work areas compliance with consistent practices implemented by the university with respect to the work allocation and time sheet issue resolution etc.
work closely with the CAAO leadership to review and identify continuous improvement opportunities and to drive changes.
About you administrative experience in a tertiary organisation, working knowledge of academic institutions, structures the higher education sector strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement and ability to prioritise workload during busy periods experience in handling a wide range of enquiries and providing excellent customer service well developed negotiation, conflict resolution, relationship building and influencing skills demonstrated ability to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
