About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Human Resource Officer to join our team at the Department of Treaty, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Affairs. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a critical role in shaping the department's human resources policies, strategies, and initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesBuild Strategic Partnerships: Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members to create a high level of understanding of their needs and expectations.Identify and Implement Solutions: Investigate organisational issues, recommend innovative solutions, and facilitate the implementation of change plans to drive business growth and improvement.Develop and Implement HR Strategies: Design and implement human resources policies, strategies, and initiatives that support, strengthen, and build our workforce, working in partnership with stakeholders.Lead Organisational Development: Develop and implement organisational development strategies and initiatives to optimise wellbeing, engagement, diversity, and inclusiveness, and promote cultural practice, capability, and safety across the department.Embed Cultural Practice: Support the team and organisation to embed cultural practice, capability, and safety across the department through training, education, and ongoing professional development, and ensure mechanisms are in place to address cultural safety concerns and promote the well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
