We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and driven individual to fill a position in the SES Unit, an integral part of the Engagement, Strategy and Performance Section, within the People, Governance and Integrity Branch.
We have an expected vacancy of one APS 6 Senior Human Resources Advisor role in the SES Unit for a period of approximately 12 months to cover a period of maternity leave.

Overview of People, Governance and Integrity Branch:
The People, Governance and Integrity Branch in NEMA provides support across all people, governance and integrity functions.
The Human Resources (HR) function is split across two teams:
Conditions and Wellbeing: Provides wellbeing support and initiatives, proactive early intervention support and rehabilitation, guidance and expert advice on payroll matters, working conditions, learning and development, and work, health and safety services. Engagement, Strategy and Performance: Provides recruitment, on-boarding, performance management, culture, workforce planning and reporting, SES Unit support, and HR services. The SES Unit is responsible for supporting NEMA's SES cohort through a range of activities.
To be successful in this opportunity you will have demonstrated experience that enables you to:
Coordinate all aspects of SES recruitment, including on-boarding, internal movements and separations. Coordinate the SES annual performance review processes. Promote and facilitate professional development opportunities. Develop and manage SES determinations. Provide advice on the application of relevant entitlements and conditions in accordance with employment determinations. Prepare reports and provide recommendations that incorporate a range of data sources to provide visibility to senior executives on a range of corporate matters. Prepare formal correspondence for an executive audience, including briefs and minutes. Be pro-active in self-development by applying constructive feedback and committing to ongoing professional development. Promote an inclusive and diverse workplace culture and ensure all staff are valued and recognised for their qualities, ideas, and perspectives. Support other Human Resource tasks as required for the Engagement, Strategy and Performance team. An understanding of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013, Work, Health and Safety Act 2011 and Public Service Act 1999, Public Service Regulations 2023 and the Australian Public Service Commissioner's Directions 2022 are desirable for this opportunity.
