Come and join the Human Resources Team at the Department.
We are looking for an engaging, competent and agile senior human resource practitioner to join a passionate team of human resource professionals.
You will work collaboratively with our stakeholders to provide high quality and timely advice and deliver a broad range of workforce programs and initiatives.
Our aim is to build a strong, high performing and capable workforce, enrich our organisational culture, as well as optimising the wellbeing of our people.

Job duration: Until 30 June 2025 with possible extension
Your contribution and key responsibilities: Build professional client relationships to create working partnerships and a high level of understanding of client needs to facilitate quality human resource management practices throughout the department.
Identify and investigate organisational issues and their implications, recommend innovative solutions and options and facilitate the implementation of change plans.
Develop and implement human resources policies, strategies and initiatives that support, strengthen and build our workforce, working in partnership with stakeholders.
Lead organisational development strategies and initiatives through partnering and networking to optimise wellbeing, engagement, diversity and inclusiveness.
Support the team and organisation to embed cultural practice, capability, and safety across the department through training, education and ongoing professional development and ensure mechanisms are in place to address cultural safety concerns and promote the well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
