About this job: The Senior HSEQ Manager oversees all aspects of health, safety, environment, and quality within the organization.
The role ensures compliance with legislative and regulatory standards, drives continuous improvement, and maintains certifications such as ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.
The role is responsible for internal audits, risk management, incident investigations, and promoting a strong safety and quality culture across the business.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, and quality standards, providing expert HSEQ guidance across the organization.Maintain and improve key certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 45001) by managing the audit process and addressing non-conformities.Liaise with external bodies, customers, and suppliers to resolve HSEQ issues.Health, Safety, and Environment Management:Develop and enforce health and safety programs, including hazard identification, risk assessments, and safe work systems.Lead incident investigations, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.Oversee and ensure compliance with customer contract management.Drive sustainability initiatives and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.Quality Management:Oversee the organization's quality assurance system, ensuring adherence to ISO 9001 standards.Manage QA/QC improvements by addressing audit findings and implementing corrective and preventative actions.Audits & Certification Maintenance:Plan and conduct internal audits for health, safety, environmental, and quality systems.Facilitate external audits, ensuring compliance with findings and maintaining accurate HSEQ documentation.Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification to ensure operational risks are effectively managed.Support departments in implementing appropriate safety controls and processes.Training & Development:Deliver HSEQ training and inductions for staff and contractors, ensuring understanding and adherence to procedures.Provide ongoing coaching to support teams in applying HSEQ practices effectively.Reporting & Communication:Maintain HSEQ records, prepare reports on key metrics, and communicate findings to senior management.Ensure that all legislative updates are reflected in HSEQ documentation and procedures.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Compliance with relevant HSEQ regulations.Successful maintenance of key certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).Timely resolution of incidents and implementation of corrective actions.Demonstrated improvements in safety, quality, and environmental performance.High engagement and safety awareness across all teams.Qualifications & Experience: 3-5 years' experience in HSEQ management.Qualification in Health & Safety (minimum Diploma level), or equivalent.Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation and ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).Proven experience in coordinating and maintaining quality, safety, and environmental management systems.Return to Work Coordinator qualifications and experience.Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.We invite you to apply for this rewarding position.
