The Role:
This strategically focused role will see you providing active leadership and support to maximise the company's success and driving continuous improvement in HSEQ culture while ensuring compliance and OFSC accreditation. It is essential that you have detailed and working knowledge of the legal and regulatory requirements related to HSEQ management.
Key Responsibilities:
Continuous improvement and company alignment to ISO accreditation and OFSC accreditation
Develop, update & implement strategies, safety plans, policies and procedures
Manage 5 direct reports & support a high performing team including staff development & mentoring
Ensure the delivery of project works, with excellent stakeholder engagement
HSE performance reporting & record management
Lead incident investigations and maintain inspection and audit programs
Develop and manage partnerships with clients, subcontractors, and community stakeholders
Regularly undertake site inspections, audits, client meetings, and toolbox meetings
Maintain and improve the Integrated Management System (IMS)
Monitor and report on HSEQ performance and prepare management reports
The successful candidate:
This would suit a strong and influential communicator and critical thinker who proactively promotes a positive safety culture through active and visible leadership. You will need a minimum of 5+ years demonstrable experience working on high-risk Construction projects (over $20m) including Defence projects.
Minimum Undergraduate Degree Health and Environmental Safety or higher
Certificate IV Training and Assessment - TAE40116
Construction Induction General Safety
Incident Investigation Qualification (TapRoot or ICAM)
Internal / External Audit Qualification [ISO45001, ISO14001 & ISO9001]
Formal qualifications competencies in Civil plant operations, Working at Heights, Confined Space Work, Permit to work, Emergency management
Current NT drivers licence
Previous DCAC clearance & ability to obtain again
