The role will be based in Henderson, with regular visits to any of our regional project sites.
You will be joining a professional team reporting to the National HSEQ Manager and duties will include:Work closely with the Maritime Constructions management team to achieve HSEQ metrics and outcomesCoordinate health and safety programs and operations on site to drive a strong safety cultureConduct task observations and workplace inspections/audits for operational and project activitiesCoordinate external audits from applicable certification bodiesTraining and mentoring of project team members regarding HSEQ processes, procedures and use of tools to ensure compliance (SkyTrust)Conduct investigations and close out of incidents, near misses and hazardsConduct Verification of Competency training to evaluate employees' ability to operate equipment and perform tasksConduct drug and alcohol on site testingSupport injury management processes and HSEQ management systems to ensure complianceAbout you:Your ability to lead and champion the safety space and work autonomously while being a team player will be the key to your success in this role.
You have excellent knowledge of legislation, compliance requirements, industry guidelines and construction best practices.
You will apply common sense to your decision making responsibilities and keep your team well informed across all areas of safety and compliance.
