Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and committed Senior HSEQ Advisor to lead and enhance Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) practices throughout our organisation.
In this role, you will ensure compliance with HSEQ regulations, spearhead safety programs, and cultivate a strong safety culture across all levels.
This position demands a proactive, hands-on approach to driving HSEQ initiatives and fostering continuous improvement aligned with industry best practices.
Responsibilities: ISO Accreditation Management: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of ISO standards relevant to Health, Environment, Safety, and Quality (HESQ).Ensure compliance through regular audits, reviews, and updates to procedures.Lead the preparation and coordination of external audits for ISO accreditation.HSEQ Management: Develop, implement, and maintain HSEQ policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and industry standards.Conduct risk assessments, inspections, and audits to identify and mitigate risks/hazards.Monitor legislative changes and industry trends to ensure ongoing compliance.Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and non-conformances, and manage corrective actions.Promote a culture of continuous improvement in HSEQ practices.Maintain and update HSEQ documentation on client portals.Assist in HSEQ sections of tender documents and ensure compliance for new projects.Collaborate with the tender team to provide accurate HSEQ information.Reporting: Compile and analyse incident data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.Prepare and submit reports on HSEQ performance to management and regulatory bodies.Workers Compensation Management: Manage workers' compensation claims, liaising with insurance providers and legal advisors.Monitor and report on compensation costs and trends.Injury Management: Oversee injury management processes, including response, investigation, and follow-up.Develop and implement injury management plans for employee recovery and return to work.Sub-contractor Management: Evaluate HSEQ performance of suppliers and contractors, ensuring compliance with standards.Collaborate with procurement to establish HSEQ criteria for supplier selection.Training: Develop and deliver HSEQ training programs.Provide expert advice and support on HSEQ matters to all staff.Facilitate HSEQ Committee meetings, seminars, and monthly Toolbox Talks.Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the industrial or manufacturing sector.Strong knowledge of HSEQ regulations, standards and management systems.Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.Why Join Us?
