Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Senior HSEQ Advisor to join our dynamic team in Brisbane. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards across multiple construction projects.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain HSEQ Standards: Oversee the implementation and adherence to HSEQ policies and procedures across various construction sites. Conduct Inspections and Audits: Perform regular site inspections, audits, and task observations to ensure compliance with our Integrated Management System (IMS) and Project Health and Safety Management Plans. Ensure Legislative Compliance: Monitor and enforce compliance with relevant local, state, and federal safety legislation and industry standards. Provide Support and Guidance: Offer advice and assistance in task planning, work methodologies, and safety protocols to project teams. Subcontractor Onboarding: Manage the onboarding process for subcontractors to ensure alignment with HSEQ requirements and site safety standards. Safety Leadership: Lead and facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and other team engagements to promote a strong safety culture. Incident Investigation: Investigate any incidents or near misses, ensuring thorough reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions are implemented. Who You Are: Minimum of 5 years' experience in a HSEQ role working with reputable builders. Minimum of Cert 4 in WHS, First Aid and CPR. Approachable and willing to assist our site teams and sub-contractors. Effective and concise communication with all stakeholders. Confident in your ability to positively influence the people you work with. Solid knowledge of WHS laws and legislation. Incident investigation training (desirable). Experience working on brownfield and high-risk sites (desirable).
