Due to new project awards, we are currently looking for Senior HSE Advisors to join the Project teams. The positions will be based on site in the Pilbara on 2/1 rosters.
To be considered for the positions as a Senior HSE Advisor you will possess the following:
Minimum 3 years' experience in an operational and/or construction environment as a Senior Health and Safety professional
Minimum Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety
iCam Lead Investigator trained
Current First Aid Certificate
Experience in project start-ups
Experience in leading significant incident investigations
Confidence to present information to others and engage in positive field leadership interactions
Be a clear communicator with the ability to lead and coach safe behaviours, risk assessments, workplace interactions and incident investigation processes
Have strong computer skills including the use of MS Office Suite and incident management systems
Previous experience in a FIFO site-based role
White Card and Drivers Licence
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will maintain NRW's strong safety culture and be responsible for; but not limited to:
Assist in the development, maintenance and implementation of the OH&S management system ensuring health and safety targets and goals are achieved
Lead the project start-up process and drive completion of crucial project deliverables
Lead the safety teams who oversee construction and project activities
Drive project excellence in safety management practices through proactive engagement and field leadership support
Lead the critical risk management process to ensure all risks are identified and effectively controlled
Ensure compliance with client and company health and safety requirements including reporting
Oversee and lead as required incident investigations which drive continuous improvement and lessons learnt
Champion health and safety attending various meetings as required
Facilitate and complete risk assessment reviews
Provide advice and recommendations to project leadership team on health and safety issues affecting performance
Conduct effective inspections and audits of the workplace focusing on HSE compliance and supporting conformance
Assist in the roll-out of corporate and site-based health and safety initiatives
Maintain data in the incident reporting system and produce reports in line with project and corporate requirements
