Occupational Health & Safety (Human Resources & Recruitment)
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior HSE Advisor/HSE Advisor to join the Team at Clough Wood. This role will be based in Perth with occasional travel offshore as required.
How you will be spending your day: Provide guidance to managers / supervisors on HSSE issues, standards, and general information. Support / Champion of Contract HSEMS through active involvement (Lead by example). Provide mentoring and coaching to the Timor-Leste HSE Trainees & Advisors through regular communication sessions and training materials. Preparation, implementation and revision of HSSE documentation for the Contract. Provide advice and support to potential Timor-Leste local goods and services providers to develop their capacity in meeting the minimum required standards of the pre-qualification process. Lead incident/injury reporting and investigations as required for the Contract. Communication and monitoring of follow up actions resulting from incidents, injuries, Hazobs, audits, inspections, meetings, workers compensation management and return to work programs. Update and maintain incidents in the applicable parent organization HSE management systems (InControl & CAIRS). Liaise with subcontractors, the client and medical service providers to manage Fitness for Work cases for all personnel. Seek continuous improvement in all areas of risk assessment, hazard management, Contract HSSE systems and training. Assist in the development, scheduling and conduct of emergency response and risk assessments, and HSSE Audits / workplace inspections for the Contract. Responsible for HSSE reporting for both the contract and parent corporate organisations. Assess risks and hazards involved in tasks and methods to manage the hazards in order to prevent incidents, injury and damage. Conduct detailed hazard risk assessments on all work scopes being developed and clearly communicate those hazards and risks in all implementation work packs. Promote and enforce Clough Wood and subcontractor compliance with the Clough Wood and client HSSE requirements. Key skills & experience we are looking for from you: Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health, Safety and Environment A minimum of 5 years practical experience in occupational health, safety and environment activities Practical experience in HSE audit and audit management processes Experience in developing and writing HSE management plans Experience in HSE training with site-based supervision and other personnel Excellent verbal and written communication skills Functional use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access database.
