Ongoing ABOUT THE ROLE HR Operations is a small team within the People and Property branch, responsible for delivering a range of HR functions including recruitment, performance management, payroll, advice on terms and conditions and WHS. We take a customer-centric approach to deliver our services in a fast-paced environment.
The Senior HR Operations Officer works across a range of operational HR functions, with a focus on working collaboratively with senior leaders and colleagues in HR to provide hands on support to resolve a range of people related matters.
This role has key responsibility for the delivery of AMSA's recruitment services, providing advice and high-level support to selection panels and ensuring the efficient operation of AMSA's online recruitment system. 
With a new Enterprise Agreement on the horizon, the Senior HR Operations Officer will also have the opportunity to apply their broad HR expertise to contribute to a range of implementation activities including system changes, policy development and education for staff and managers.
You will be responsible for:
Providing specialist advice on terms and conditions of employment and HR policiesProviding strategic recruitment advice and supporting selection panelsLeading and contributing to a range of HR projects and initiativesDriving continuous improvements to HR service delivery and processesContributing to Enterprise Agreement implementation activitiesManaging HR's mailboxes and escalated complex enquiries to provide accurate and timely advice to stakeholders.SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE To be successful in this position, you will have the following skills and experience:
Demonstrated experience as a HR professional, with a proven track record delivering a broad range of HR functionsThe ability to interpret and apply legislation and HR policy to provide accurate advice to clientsExperience working with HR information systems (e.g. online recruitment, learning management systems)Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and a high service orientationStrong organisation skills and attention to detailThe ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team, with flexibility and agility to adapt to changing priorities.For more information about this role, please refer to the position description.
Note: Information about our terms and conditions of employment are contained in the AMSA Enterprise Agreement 2016-2019 until AMSA's new Enterprise Agreement 2024-2027 is approved by the Fair Work Commission. 
* The abovementioned salary will apply once the Enterprise Agreement 2024-2027 comes into effect.
