Our mission is to empower and advocate for our clients, working towards a more just and equitable society.Salary packaging options up to $18,450 per annum tax free (conditions apply)Remote allowance of $3,300 per annumAnnual airfare allowance6 weeks annual leave3 weeks personal leaveAbout the roleAs the Senior HR Officer, you will support the delivery of high-level, strategic HR services across NAAJA. This role plays a key part in ensuring HR operations are effective, aligned with corporate goals, and compliant with relevant legislation. The position is crucial in fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting the Executive Management Team, managers, and staff in achieving NAAJA's objectives.What you'll be doingProvide HR consultancy and advisory services to managers and employees on HR management, employee relations, and workplace issues, including interpreting awards, legislation, and industrial relations matters.Contribute to the management and optimisation of the HR system, Employment Hero.Facilitate change management initiatives to support evolving workplace needs.Lead workplace investigations and mediations to resolve conflicts and maintain a positive work environment.Ensure timely and effective probation reviews for new staff and support regular performance reviews across teams.Oversee end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes.Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of HR policies and procedures in a cross-cultural environment.Contribute to the implementation of training and development initiatives.What we're looking forDemonstrated cultural competency, particularly in working with First Nations people.Exhibit a professional, customer-focused manner with the ability to work with all levels of staff and management to achieve strategic HR outcomes.Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to resolve conflict and negotiate effective work outcomes.Extensive experience or the potential to coach managers in handling HR matters such as performance, conduct/discipline, workers compensation, grievances, complaints, and investigating HR matters.Demonstrated ability to facilitate change management and adapt to change.Competency in using Microsoft Office Software and HRIS systems.Demonstrated ability to positively contribute to a team.Ability to effectively prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.A degree or advanced diploma in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, along with at least 1-2 years of relevant work experience, is preferred.Knowledge and understanding of employment legislation, or the ability to obtain it, is highly desirable.Experience using the HRIS Employment Hero system would be advantageous.RequirementsAbility to obtain a "Working with Children Clearance" (Ochre Card) upon commencement.Satisfactory criminal history check.How to ApplyApplicants for this position must submit a cover letter and resume addressing the essential criteria.Enquiries can be sent to ****** will be assessed as they are received.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.
