They are currently seeking a Senior HR Consultant to join the People & Culture team, where you will have a key role in driving strategic HR initiatives and supporting organisational growth.
The Role: As a Senior HR Consultant , you will provide expert HR advice and guidance to leadership and teams, ensuring that HR practices align with organizational goals.
You will be responsible for driving change management initiatives, managing stakeholder relationships, and providing leadership in all aspects of HR, from talent management to employee relations.
This role requires a strategic, results-oriented HR professional with strong communication skills and a proven track record in project delivery.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic HR Advisory: Provide high-level, strategic HR advice to leadership, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivering HR solutions that meet organizational needs.
Change Management: Lead and support P&C change management initiatives, ensuring successful delivery of projects that drive organizational transformation and growth.
Policy & Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant HR legislation, industrial relations frameworks, and company policies.
Organizational Development: Drive initiatives to improve organizational performance, culture, and employee engagement.
HR Systems: Manage and optimize the use of HR systems such as Workday (or similar) to streamline HR operations and enhance data analytics and reporting.
Strategic Communication: Develop and deliver strategic verbal and written communication to inspire, influence, and drive change throughout the organization.
Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including leadership teams, external partners, and international colleagues (e.g., Sweden), ensuring collaborative and effective partnerships.
Talent Management & Employee Relations: Oversee talent acquisition, development, retention, and performance management processes.
Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations issues and conflict resolution.
Skills & Experience: Proven HR Experience: Demonstrated success and experience working in a senior generalist role ideally within Utilities, Finance, Heavy Industry, Mining, Gas or Defence or another complex, fast-paced environment.
Change Management & Project Delivery: Strong capability in managing and delivering P&C change management initiatives and projects, driving impactful change across the organization.
Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management: Experience within stakeholder engagement , partnering and relationship management building with various cohort levels.
Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving: Strong strategic thinking , planning, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to translate business objectives into effective P&C solutions.
Legislative & IR Knowledge: High-level knowledge of applicable legislation , industrial relations instruments, and frameworks.
Time Management & Prioritization: Ability to balance strategic work with business-as-usual (BAU) deliverables, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines effectively.
HR Systems & Technology: Experience with HR systems such as Workday (or similar) and proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, communication, and data analysis.
Educational Qualifications & Professional Memberships: Tertiary Qualifications: A tertiary qualification in HR or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience in an HR role.
Professional Membership: Membership with the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) is preferred.
