The Opportunity: We are looking for an experienced Senior Human Resources Business Partner to drive change through new ways of working in relation to human resources best practices as well as consistency and excellence in the delivery of integrated, strategic people solutions. This role will be a change champion and an active member of designated Leadership Teams, as well as a trusted advisor to the Vice Chancellor's direct reports and their extended leadership groups.
Partnering with key stakeholders, you will develop contemporary people solutions and provide strategic and tactical advice across the employee life cycle through strategic workforce planning, talent management, learning and organisational development, organisational design, leadership development, strategic HRM, change management, remuneration and reward and diversity and inclusion.
The Portfolio and Team: The People and Culture Portfolio provides integrated human resources advice and support across all areas of the University. Working closely with our clients, we deliver strategically aligned workforce solutions in areas including change management, diversity and inclusion, organisational development, health and safety, industrial and employee relations, remuneration and benefits, and recruitment. We also plan, design, communicate and monitor VU's Workforce Strategy with a focus on building organisation and change management capability, and providing workforce data to support strategic decision making to enable the University to deliver on its Strategic Plan, 2022-2028: Start well, finish brilliantly.
About You: You are someone who thrives on driving change in a fast paced and constantly changing environment to support strategic outcomes. You can engage stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, painting a vision and influencing people to bring them along on the change journey. You will also:
Be an experienced and solutions based HR Business Partner who can lead and support the delivery of complex projects. Enjoy flexing your coaching style to support leaders to build amazing teams. Be experienced in leading the development and implementation of strategic plans and operational processes for improving services offered by the team. Be an inspiring and inclusive leader who will bring the best out of people and can work collaboratively with staff, students and community. Experience with ER/IR environments. Have excellent written communication and influencing skills and attention to detail given a key aspect of this role involves high level reporting to governance committees and communication with senior leaders.
