What you will do as the Senior HR Advisor, Planning & Capability: Manage either the recruitment or learning and development functions (including the AER graduate program), ensuring compliance with relevant ACCC/AER frameworks. Develop and lead a small team, fostering an inclusive culture, high performance, and building capability through coaching, providing performance feedback and opportunities for career development. Use a range of reporting platforms and software including Power BI and Microsoft Excel to prepare high-quality workforce reporting, analysis and trending data to: inform and support strategic workforce planning activities and develop fit-for-purpose strategies measure success of strategies and initiatives and deliver workforce data relating to the AER as required. Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Deliver workforce planning initiatives that foster capability across the AER. About you In order to succeed in the role, you will have: Sound specialist knowledge in recruitment and/or learning and development. Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team and build capability in others by modelling positive behaviours, providing a professional and harmonious working environment, coaching, providing performance feedback, resolving conflict and facilitating career development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Knowledge and experience in collating, analysing, interpreting, explaining and developing strategies from workforce data (highly desirable). Experience in the APS (Australian Public Service) is desirable. Relevant tertiary qualifications, AHRI accreditation and/or equivalent relevant experience is desirable.
