Uniting is seeking a dedicated Senior HR Advisor to join our dynamic team and support the organisation in shaping a better future.
About the Role: As a Senior HR Advisor at Uniting, you will be a trusted partner to our line managers and supervisors, providing practical, timely and expert advice to support them to lead people matters with confidence.
This role combines coaching and case management with best practice HR practice to ensure our people have the support they need to thrive.
You'll also support process improvement, and support the implementation of strategic HR projects across Uniting.
Key Responsibilities: Provide consistent, expert HR advice and coaching to line managers and supervisors in line with legislative guidelines, HR best practice, and Uniting policies and processes.
Manage HR cases from start to finish, ensuring timely resolution and compliance.
Support the business in preparing and reviewing documentation for performance management, disciplinary actions, and related processes.
Facilitate workshops to upskill managers and improve HR knowledge within the organisation.
Contribute to HR Centre of Excellence initiatives by providing business insights and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Support the delivery of strategic projects including organisational design, change management, and restructuring.
About You: You are a seasoned HR professional with at least 3 years of experience, skilled at providing clear, sound employment relations advice to business stakeholders.
Your ability to interpret legislation, policies, and processes enables you to navigate complex situations with confidence.
Strong communication skills, combined with a service-oriented mindset, allow you to build relationships and influence outcomes, even in a large, diverse organisation.
Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated experience with investigating and resolving workplace grievances and employee conduct issues.
Ability to provide innovative ideas and solutions to complex employment problems.
Strong knowledge of generalist HR best practice and the ability to apply relevant legislation and organisational policies.
Highly organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated experience in navigating complex organisations and managing through influence.
Even Better If You Have: Experience working with First Nations peoples.
Experience in the Not-For-Profit sector.
