We're delighted to partner with Fin Design and Effects to assist them in sourcing talented and experienced Mid/Senior Effects Artist to join their NSW studios located in either Sydney, Australia or Ballina, Australia. They have some incredible shows about to land!
As an Effects Artist, you will play a crucial role in creating stunning and realistic visual effects for film, television, and TV commercials. You will collaborate with a team of passionate artists and technicians to bring visual effects to life, pushing the boundaries of creativity and innovation. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects and be part of an industry-leading VFX studio.

Your Responsibilities
Create and design visually stunning effects, including but not limited to particle simulations, fluid dynamics, destruction, cloth simulations, and environmental effects.
Work closely with the VFX Supervisor, CG Supervisor, and other team members to understand the project requirements and artistic vision, ensuring the delivery of high-quality effects.
Utilise a range of software tools and techniques to develop and execute effects, such as Houdini, Maya, Nuke, and various proprietary tools.
Collaborate with the pipeline team to develop efficient workflows and tools to enhance the effects production process.
Troubleshoot and problem-solve technical issues related to effects simulations, ensuring smooth integration into the overall visual effects pipeline.
Maintain a strong knowledge of the latest industry trends, techniques, and software advancements related to effects creation, and share insights and best practices with the team.
Mentor and guide junior artists, providing constructive feedback and support to help them develop their skills and grow professionally.
Collaborate with other departments, including animation, lighting, and compositing, to ensure seamless integration of effects into the final shots.
Adhere to project deadlines and deliver high-quality effects within allocated timeframes.
Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and excellence.
