The Lucas Group has been engaged to find experienced and motivated Senior Horticultural Sales Agronomist to join a well-established agricultural supply company in the Sunraysia region. This dynamic role is ideal for a seasoned agronomist with a passion for enhancing grower performance and sustainability, while also mentoring and developing a talented agronomy team.

The Role As a Senior Horticultural Sales Agronomist, you will provide technical, agronomic, and sales expertise to key accounts. Working across table grapes, avocados, citrus, and nut crops, you will advise on crop protection, fertiliser programs, and sustainable farming practices. With strong customer service skills and a commercial mindset, you will manage key client relationships, drive sales, and identify new opportunities.
Key responsibilities include: Delivering on-site agronomic advice and support.Developing detailed crop rotation, protection, and fertiliser programs.Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients.Leading and mentoring the agronomy team, promoting knowledge-sharing, and staying at the forefront of technological advancements.Supporting product forecasting, inventory management, and promotional activities, including field days and demonstrations. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have:
A tertiary qualification in horticulture, agricultural science, agronomy, or a related field (or equivalent experience).At least 5 years of experience providing on-site agronomic support.Proven ability to manage client needs, develop crop programs, and achieve financial objectives.Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to effectively communicate product knowledge.A passion for agriculture and a commitment to driving sustainable farming practices.
