Reporting to the General Manager - People & Culture (Sydney), you'll provide guidance, support and partnership with Line and Senior Managers on all HSW matters, environment strategies, initiatives and activities to deliver continuous improvement and uplift a health & safety culture.This is a varied and dynamic role that will see you providing both reactive and pro-active specialist advice to all Crown business units in relation to legislative requirements, best practice, systems and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance and genuine safety of Crown's employees and patrons. Working closely, with the Injury Management Advisor (direct report), you'll have the opportunity to work all levels of the leadership teams and will be the primary contact for all HSW matters.Some of your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Lead targeted, risk-based communications with property-based Executive Teams, ensuring a clear understanding and implications on safety measures and protocolsDevelop, implement and maintain Crown's Safety Management system to ensure compliance with relevant standards, including the development, consultation, implementation and ongoing improvement of processes and proceduresLead and/or case manage WHS&E incident investigations including the development of investigation tools and methodologies and investigation reportsDevelop and present company specific training programs including toolbox meeting topics based on training gaps analysis and business operational requirementsDevelop and implement health, safety and environment policies and proceduresManage, maintain, audit and report on Crown's compliance Register Risk Register, Risk Management Plan, Crisis Management Plan and Incident Management PlanManage and review Crown's HSW Risk Register on a regular basisConduct internal HS&W audits and non-conformance in key HS&W areas such as fire inspections, asbestos registers, governance systems, risk registers, properties and vehiclesSupport the Worker's Compensation and Return to Work processes as requiredYou'll have:Significant experience in the development, implementation and maintenance of health and safety management systemsHealth and safety experience in a complex multidiscipline or industrial environmentDemonstrated understanding and application of current workplace safety, health and environment legislative requirementsDemonstrated experience in implementing and monitoring a safety management system within an organisation operating in multi-site locationsProven experience in supporting a strong safety culture resulting in improved safety performanceDemonstrated experience in managing competing priorities and to deliver high quality outcomes within agreed timeframesDemonstrated understanding of current workplace safety, health and environment legislative requirementsHigh-level written communication skills enabling the production of documents that are clear, accurate and concise.Proven problem-solving skills, and ability to think laterally and strategicallyWorking knowledge of other relevant legislative and regulatory environment for areas of business responsibilityWhat we offer you:Full-time opportunity, based in Crown's corporate offices in BarangarooComplimentary meals at our on-site staff restaurant (hot food, salad + sandwich bar, fruit & pastries)Generous discounts across Crown hotels and restaurants Australia wideOpportunity to make your mark and lead the HSW strategy for Crown SydneyAccess to discounts with various corporate partners across insurance, heath & wellbeing, fashion, banking & finance, technology and moreWhat you can expect from usOn top of exciting career possibilities, we offer better exposure to experiences and learning.
