An opportunity has arisen for a Senior HS&T Advisor to join our Capricorn Copper operation in Queensland.
In this role, you will report to the HS&T Lead and work on a 15:13 roster.
Your focus will be on overseeing the safety management system (SMS) and supporting line managers in achieving health, safety, and training objectives.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Assisting the HS&T Lead in managing health, hygiene, safety, and training programs, including the development and management of the Emergency Response Team (ERT).Ensuring all employees and contractors are aware of key risks and controls through inductions, training sessions, toolbox talks, and site communications, while maintaining records of these activities.Supporting the management of the site training matrix, ensuring up-to-date training, compliance, and proper documentation for all personnel.Maintaining, updating, and reviewing the SMS, ensuring compliance with current legislation, industry standards, and company procedures.Conducting audits, inspections, and critical control verifications (CCVs), ensuring actions are raised and tracked to completion, and assisting in SMS non-compliance audits.Providing clinical support for onboarding, minor illness treatment, and emergency response, including conducting drug and alcohol testing, and supporting hygiene testing programs.About You
Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in similar health and safety roles, ideally within the Mining industry.

Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.Certificate IV in Health Care (or higher).Certificate in Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing.Certificate III in Mine Rescue (or higher).Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.Current C class driver's licence (manual).About 29Metals and Capricorn Copper
