In partnership with the Australian Defence Force, Ventia are seeking a Senior Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) Advisor to join our dynamic team. This role will be based at either our Randwick or Holsworthy Barracks in Sydney. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering on the SHEQ requirements of the program, utilising systems and processes to foster an integrated approach to SHEQ management in delivering on legal, contractual, and business requirements.

Attractive salary package with access to employee benefits such as corporate travel discounts, novated leases, private health discounts, credit discounts and more.Full time permanent role with company car, offering hybrid working.Take ownership in this autonomous role, where you'll be responsible for managing your own day-to-day activities.Be surrounded by a respectful, supportive, and inclusive team, as well as a manager who is focused on your professional growth and development.Great career development opportunities, with exposure to the broader Ventia business.We focus on your professional development by offering various internal training opportunities at our very own Learning Academy.Access to a variety of Health and Wellness initiatives - including the EAP, Ventia's Healthy Minds program and Healthy Bodies program.Inform and implement Safety Management Plans across the project.Adhere to legislations, regulations, and standards and ensure that all activities on the project are undertaken in a safe manner, with the application of suitable frameworks and documentation.Undertake ICAM investigations in relation to safety-related incidents or issues and provide recommendations through the contract leadership team.Ensure risk assessments and risk registers are maintained and all records are managed.Assist in delivering the audit program.Develop and deliver safety-related training when required, including new starter induction, toolbox talks, and prestart meetings.Provide onsite support – including coaching and mentoring of Site Leads / Area Managers / etc - for sites across the state (including Canberra).Create monthly reports and attend the Management Team meeting for the two contracts. Could you be our next Senior SHEQ Advisor? As our Senior SHEQ Advisor, you will liaise with various Ventia defence contracts operating across NSW, travel to sites, and monitor and provide insights on the SHEQ performance while identifying overall risks and improvements. You will be the single point of contact (within the Ventia Defence SHEQ team) for the National Clothing Stores and Retail Stores national contracts. You will have:
Tertiary Qualification in Workplace/Occupation Health and Safety, Occupational Hygiene and Health, Environmental or Quality Equivalent.You must be an Australian citizen and be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance.Have formal training in incident investigation or be willing to undertake a 2-day training course upon commencement.Have suitable experience as a safety professional in industrial safety and possess the required technical skills and knowledge to perform the role.Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and a positive team culture.
