The CAMHSEating Disorders Service (EDS) is a specialised state-wideservice providing assessment, consultation and treatment for youngpeople who present with symptoms of an eating disorder, and theirfamilies. Our multi-disciplinary team provide inpatient in-reachand outpatient intervention through various models of careincluding Family Based Therapy (FBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy– Eating disorders (CBT-E), Adolescent Focused Therapy (AFT)and Multi Family Therapy (MFT). The service also providesmulti-modal parent focused education and support. The EDS offers anoutpatient day program, and state-wide consultation liaison withother CAMHS clinics.
Ourmulti-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals includespsychiatrists, occupational therapists, clinical psychologists,social workers, and clinical nurses. Aboutthe Role: As aSenior Mental Health Professional, you willsupport young people with eating disorders and their familiesthrough evidence-based outpatient therapy, group therapy, mealsupport and other clinical services as required.
 Yourprimary responsibilities will include:
Providingevidence-based family, individual and group therapy for eatingdisorders. Providing crisisintervention, treatment and referral to individuals, families,and the community. Actively participatingin interdisciplinary case conferences and clinical teammeetings. Providing support,information, training and education for team members and stafffrom other agencies regarding care and management of clientsregarding mental health and/or child sexual abuse. Initiate anddevelop links with relevant community agencies. Initiate andparticipate in the review and development of allocated serviceareas. Participating inongoing evaluation of clinical practice, quality, managementprograms and quality improvement activities. Contributing to thedevelopment of mental health services which are responsive tocommunity needs and priorities by participating in planning,implementation and evaluation processes including the provisionof statistical returns, submissions, and analysis ofdata.
