Senior Hazmat Consultant
Our client is a Boutique Environmental Consultancy based in the Sydney Lower North Shore. They provide environmental and risk management consulting services in the fields of contaminated land, hazardous materials, occupational hygiene and health and safety. Now seeking an experienced Senior Hazmat Consultant to join their team who will manage and oversee project budgets, deliver high-quality technical reports, and provide specialised guidance in hazardous materials, & asbestos. Key responsibilities:
Project management with accountability for budgets and client satisfaction.
Client liaison, proposal preparation, and ongoing client management.
Training and mentoring junior staff, including Consultants and Graduates.
Technical review of reports prior to final signoff.
Conducting asbestos and hazardous materials audits and producing associated reports.
Developing asbestos management plans and recommendations.
Conducting air monitoring and hygiene assessments for hazardous materials.
Adhering to WHSEQ and NATA standards and contributing to internal protocol development.
Requirements:
Minimum of 6 years' experience in asbestos/hazardous materials consultancy.
Valid Asbestos Assessors Licence.
Proven expertise in asbestos management, air monitoring, and hazardous materials audits.
Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple key client projects.
Skilled in training junior consultants and contributing to business growth.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in report writing.
Full driver's license and flexibility to travel as required.
