What you'll doAs our Senior Group Facilitator, you'll play a pivotal role in driving and supporting the Children and Parenting Support (CAPS) Program forward.
Your role will be instrumental in delivering purposeful psychoeducational programs that positively impact the lives of families and young people in the local community.
In this role, you will:
Facilitate high-quality psychoeducational groups, including various school-based, in-person and online groups.Manage client intake and oversee all related administration.Ensure accurate data collection and reporting.Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to program staff.Promote diversity and cultural sensitivity by incorporating inclusive practices in all group activities, ensuring respect and understanding for different cultural perspectives.Apply person-centred, trauma-informed practice and strength-based approach to working with clients.Lead groups, creating a therapeutic learning environment for clients to explore individual, couple and family relationship issues.Details3 days a week with occasional Saturday availability required.Based at Blacktown with travel to schools within the region required.$51 - $52 per hour (depending on skills & experience), 11.5% super, 17.5% leave loading and tax-free salary packaging up to $15,900.12-month contract with possibility to extend.Extra annual leave days between Christmas and New Year.Excellent professional development, regular clinical supervision.What you'll bringRelevant qualifications in counselling, psychology, social work, health promotion, adult education, community welfare or similar field.Certification in School-Based Groupwork Programs is highly desirable (e.g., Friends, Circle of Security, Tuning in to Kids, Bringing Up Great Kids, or equivalent programs).Proven experience and skills as a clinical supervisor, providing guidance and support to staff.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with young people and families.Demonstrated ability to manage group dynamics and facilitate positive interactions between parents and children.Ability to work independently and proactively with a focus on driving the performance and success of the program forward.Training and experience in working in an educational context with children in any of the following areas:Working with domestic violence.Parenting groups.Children/Youth in groups.Why work with us?Work alongside people who truly care about what you achieve together.We offer many benefits including flexible working options, additional leave days, Employee Referral Reward program and a fitness passport.Extra Income - You can salary package up to $15,900 pa of your pre-tax salary for everyday expenses and up to $2,650 pa for entertainment expenses.Enjoy continuous training and development opportunities to elevate your skills and advance your career.We value inclusion and belonging.
