Now, we're looking for a Senior Group Accountant to join our team - could that be you?
So, what's the role?This is a newly created position reporting directly to our Financial Controller. As our Senior Group Accountant, you will be a key player in our finance team, diving into the preparation, development, and analysis of financial information that empowers our companies and industry to thrive. Your insight will steer us toward informed decisions that ensure future stability, profitability, and growth. You'll prepare financial statements and guide us with your keen analysis of business performance, always looking ahead to pre-empt opportunities and embrace change.
Here's what your role will look like:
Preparing financial reports including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.Coordinating annual operating and capital budgets.Analysing variations between budgets and actual results alongside Operations.Collaborating on financial models for strategic decisions—whether it's purchasing equipment or restructuring.Enhancing our accounting systems and maintaining procedure manuals.Playing an essential role in pool accounting—providing crop information to growers, processing payments, and preparing forecasts.
But enough about us—let's shift focus to what really matters—whether this role is the right fit for you!You have solid accounting experience.You have a degree in accounting and CA/CPA qualifications.You can analyse business performance and prepare detailed financial reports.You consider yourself tech-savvy, particularly with ERP systems and intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge.You are a natural communicator and take a hands-on approach—this isn't just a leadership role, but your expertise is crucial!You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.You thrive in a collaborative environment, have solid administration skills, and can manage multiple priorities.
