Senior Governance Compliance Officer - EnergyCoJob no: 539658 Work type: Ongoing full-time Location: Sydney Categories: Audit, Continuous Improvement, Quality ManagementJoin us in driving impactful change by transforming the NSW electricity system!Use your governance and compliance skills to assure the successful transformation of the NSW electricity systemBrand new role in an expanding Governance, Risk and Compliance BranchPermanent, full-time role at 35 hours/week plus FlexTimeSydney CBD or NSW location by negotiationHybrid working from home and office supportedSalary from $120,859 to $133,183 plus super and leave loadingEnergy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure.About the OpportunityEnergyCo is seeking to appoint a Senior Governance & Compliance Officer to develop policy and processes, provide high quality advice, deliver projects and professional learning programs to ensure that EnergyCo and staff adhere to legislative, regulatory and government requirements, internal policies, and good governance and compliance principles and practices. This role builds networks and knowledge across business areas to support the development, implementation, and ongoing effectiveness of governance frameworks and compliance programs, and to promote ethical standards and mitigate risks across EnergyCo.Exciting work programs for 2025In the first 12 months, you will play a key role in the following priority initiatives of the organisation:EnergyCo's Governance Framework including corporate policy frameworkStrengthening complaint management functionImproving legislative and contractual compliance processesHolistically improving governance information for EnergyCo's website and IntranetRolling out ethics and corruption prevention programsAbout YouYou are a well-rounded corporate governance professional with experience in developing and implementing governance, compliance and complaint resolution processes that are fit-for-purpose and effective without unnecessary bureaucracy and administrative burden.You are resourceful, able to drive engagement with staff and stakeholders and leverage expertise across the organisation to deliver a range of effective programs and activities (e.g. ethics, fraud prevention, compliance, etc) within the constraints of available resources and budget.You are self-motivated and pride on continuous-improvement, able to keep up with changes in relevant legislation, regulations and policies and ensuring the organisation remains compliant and in alignment with government directives.Essential RequirementsRelevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated professional experience in corporate governance, compliance, audit, risk management or another field relevant to the role.To ApplyIf excited by the information above, we look forward to receiving your application, including a copy of your resume and cover letter expressing your interest and suitability for the role.Applications close Thursday 21 November 2024 at 11:55pm.Should you require further information about the role please contact Kai Song, Senior Manager Governance & Compliance via ******.
