Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure.
About the Opportunity
EnergyCo is seeking to appoint a Senior Governance & Compliance Officer to develop policy and processes, provide high quality advice, deliver projects and professional learning programs to ensure that EnergyCo and staff adhere to legislative, regulatory and government requirements, internal policies, and good governance and compliance principles and practices.
This role builds networks and knowledge across business areas to support the development, implementation, and ongoing effectiveness of governance frameworks and compliance programs, and to promote ethical standards and mitigate risks across EnergyCo.

In the first 12 months, you will play a key role in the following priority initiatives of the organisation:
EnergyCo's Governance Framework including corporate policy framework Strengthening complaint management function Improving legislative and contractual compliance processes Holistically improving governance information for EnergyCo's website and Intranet Rolling out ethics and corruption prevention programs About You
You are a well-rounded corporate governance professional with experience in developing and implementing governance, compliance and complaint resolution processes that are fit-for-purpose and effective without unnecessary bureaucracy and administrative burden.
You are resourceful, able to drive engagement with staff and stakeholders and leverage expertise across the organisation to deliver a range of effective programs and activities (e.g. ethics, fraud prevention, compliance, etc) within the constraints of available resources and budget.
You are self-motivated and pride on continuous-improvement, able to keep up with changes in relevant legislation, regulations and policies and ensuring the organisation remains compliant and in alignment with government directives.
Essential Requirements Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated professional experience in corporate governance, compliance, audit, risk management or another field relevant to the role. To Apply
