Senior Governance Adviser – Permanent Full Time – Perth CBD Western Power's Engineering & Design team is looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Governance Adviser to join our dynamic team.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining robust governance frameworks, processes, tools, and methodologies.
You will provide expert guidance and subject matter expertise across the function and the wider business, ensuring alignment and compliance with technical standards, design development, and all related governance aspects.

Your Role in Action Establish effective governance frameworks, management system processes, tools, methodologies, and practicesProvide standards and design governance advice, guidance and services to the Function and broader business to ensure appropriate use of standards in outsourcing and across Western PowerProvide management, direction, communication, and coordination of information for regulatory, licence and other external audit responses relevant to the FunctionEnsure Electricity (Network Safety) Regulations 2015, assigned significant legislative obligations, including compliance with AS5577 and WHS are consistently metDrive value in function-specific and broader Asset Management System through undertaking internal audits (level 2) and provide recommendations for continuous improvementDrive and facilitate integration and alignment of processes to meet the objectives of the Asset Management System and or other Function-specific supporting Management SystemsOwn the role of Risk Champion for Engineering and Design FunctionWhat Makes You a Great Fit Degree qualified in Business, Engineering, Commerce, Contract Management or related disciplineSpecific and detailed knowledge of and demonstrated extensive experience working with economic aspects of the operation of electricity transmission & distribution networks and preferably WA energy market regulatory framework and related Government policiesDemonstrated knowledge and expertise in Asset Management FrameworksKnowledge and experience in compliance auditing practices, including developing audit plans, schedules, and reportsDemonstrated success in building and maintaining strong working relationships at all levels of an organisationBe able to think strategically, with strong business acumen, comprehensive analytical skills and exposure to risk management and governance processesPossess strong communication and interpersonal skills, complimented by highly developed influencing skills and ability to relate tasks to the "big picture"By joining Western Power, you will contribute to powering a cleaner energy future.
