This position is part of a small team that supports all aspects of gift services across ANU including gift cultivation and acceptance, gift processing, and gift implementation.
Your role will be considered a subject matter expert in this space and will provide advice and operational support to a campus-wide client base, ensuring the University demonstrates both accountability and impact in its philanthropic endeavours.
The Person
To be successful in this role, you have a skillset that demonstrates outstanding client service and stakeholder management experience.
You will be flexible and happy to jump in and support your colleagues to get the job done.
Experience in governance, project implementation, or senior administration is desirable but not critical to be the successful applicant.
The key attributes for the right person are a high level of care in your work, the ability to use initiative and work independently, as well as being part of a stable and supportive team.
You are an organised and effective team member, with an eye for detail.
You are interested in the stories of the University, and you are both passionate and invested in sharing how philanthropy contributes to realising the strategic aims of ANU.
You are an innate problem-solver, resilient, and have a knack for communicating complex, detailed information in a simple, accessible manner.
You possess strong collaboration and partnership skills, demonstrating the ability to influence across all levels - your team, your colleagues, and internal senior stakeholders.
The Area
ANU Advancement provides leadership and support across the University in developing meaningful and sustainable relationships with ANU alumni, donors, and the broader community.
We secure long-term philanthropic investment and ensure the strong management of existing philanthropic funds and accountability to the University's donors.
We direct our activity exclusively towards supporting, amplifying, and propelling the University's vision, mission, and strategic objectives, in service to its priorities and areas of greatest need.
Our mission is to build meaningful and enduring connections with our community and pair the passions of generous people with the outstanding work of our University.
