We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Perth office.
What you'll do:
Provide technical advice on complex geotechnical issues to clients and internal staff and deliver best practice consulting services;
Use advanced techniques, modifications and extension of theories, practices to synthesize and analyze data for decision making/recommendations;
Build reputation as Technical Leader/Lead Consultant. Participate in industry groups as part of maintaining high industry profile;
Manage, analyze and carry out geotechnical reporting for projects;
Provide safety leadership in identifying and alleviating/eliminating high priority safety hazards;
Participate in training activities, mentor and transfer knowledge to other geotechnical engineers;
Manage existing and new client relationships and undertake proactive business development activities;
Keep abreast of advancing technologies, methods, and research & development;
Supervise, coordinate and review/evaluate activities carried out by less experienced engineers;
Prepare tenders, proposals, and reports for clients; and
Guide, participate and support stakeholder engagement activities
About you:
Typically 5 to 12 years' experience in geotechnical engineering;
A successful track record in undertaking and managing field investigations for small to large size geotechnical projects;
Track record of promoting innovation in the field of geotechnical engineering to create value for clients/projects;
Demonstrated experience in the preparation/review of written technical reports and client communications;
Demonstrated experience in geotechnical design including rock/soil/structure interaction;
A civil engineering or engineering geology degree;
Postgraduate qualifications in a geotechnical-related field will be considered favorably;
A strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously and in a team environment;
Ability to take responsibility for geotechnical design delivery in a multidisciplinary environment
