We are currently seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to act as an experienced practitioner for Geotechnical matters within the Corporation by providing technical support to the Geotechnical engineering discipline, delivering high-level technical investigation, design, review, systems development, audit, and advisory services related to all aspects of water and wastewater standards and infrastructure. Part of your key responsibilities will be: Provide support in Geotechnical engineering discipline matters across the Corporation. Provide technical support on Safety in Design (Si D) matters for the Geotechnical discipline. Collaborate with the Principal Engineer, Geotechnical to support the technical development of Engineering's Geotechnical team. Support the Principal Engineer, Geotechnical with the review and update of SA Water's technical standards and guidelines for Geotechnical engineering aspects of SA Water infrastructure. Provide timely, accurate, appropriate, and adequate information and documentation to customers, with a focus on minimizing delays and providing cost-effective solutions. In terms of requirements, this role would suit someone that has a tertiary Civil or Geotechnical Engineering qualification. You would also have: Sound knowledge of Geotechnical engineering procedures and practices as applied to the water industry and large engineering organizations. Experience in the provision of investigation, option, concept, and detailed design of Geotechnical infrastructure associated with the water industry at a high professional level, and auditing of designs prepared by others. Demonstrated experience in the execution of novel, complex and critical engineering investigations, and designs in the Geotechnical discipline.
