This role is part of Fugro's Marine Geoconsulting team of experts, who provide consultancy services to our clients within the fields of geology, geoscience, geophysics, and geotechnical engineering.

The Opportunity We are looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, who is responsible for analyzing and interpreting high-quality offshore geo-data to provide accurate and customized advice to clients on their individual project needs. Your day-to-day duties and focus will include:
Perform technical duties related to geotechnical engineering working closely with the project team and technical authoritiesAnalyze acquired geotechnical data and assist in the preparation of technical reports and documents to present the results of technical workPrepare calculation packs for all technical work completed and arrange review and approval by another technical authorityUtilize geotechnical software and tools to interpret data and assess geotechnical soil conditions and potential geotechnical hazards for project sitesCreate presentations and workshops to inform clients about the outcomes and potential next steps in their offshore project developments, covering both renewables and oil/gas sectorsCollaborate and share information with team members, whilst also mentoring and supporting less experienced staffPotentially be able to perform offshore field work (up to 60 days) and travel as requiredAbout You Your success in securing this role will require:
Proven experience (ideally 3-4 years') in a similar role within the offshore industryBachelors, Masters, or PhD in geotechnical or civil engineering, engineering geology or a related disciplineBe creative and willing to consider new approaches to solving problemsEnjoy a challenge, learning new skills, and be prepared to go the extra-mile to meet our clients' expectationsPractical offshore site investigation experience will be an advantage as would having an interest in working offshoreOur Values https://www.fugro.com/about-fugro/group-overview/our-values
