Advancing everyday life.Senior / Principal GeologistGlencore Coal Assets Australia (GCAA),Hunter ValleyA vacancy exists for a Senior / Principal Geologist within the Glencore Coal Assets Australia (GCAA) Technical Services / Business Development team, reporting to the Manager, Geology. This is a leadership role that will provide technical support and mentorship across the GCAA mine sites and projects.You will have significant experience in coal geology, including proficiency with geological databases and modelling software (preferably Vulcan). Furthermore, you will have experience with the validation and interpretation of coal quality datasets.You will have recent experience in coal resource estimation and be competent to sign off on resources in accordance with the 2012 JORC Code. Geostatistical experience would be highly regarded.Leadership capability, relationship building skills and commercial astuteness will be complemented by well-developed communication and interpersonal abilities.With relevant experience in a similar role, you will be committed to our people, their health and safety, the environment and continuous improvement.The role will be based at the Glencore Hunter Valley office, although other GCAA offices may be considered.
