As a Senior Geologist, utilise your technical and leadership skills, thereby enhancing your capabilities and the reputation of WSP's Mine Engineering & Geology team. You will collaborate with talented and diverse professionals working on iconic projects to drive future ready outcomes that will benefit clients and communities. This role will be based in the Perth office, with hybrid working available. What you'll do: Provide technical advice and mentoring on complex mining and geological issues to clients and internal staff including but not limited to geological data analysis, geological modelling, resource estimation, technical reviews, exploration services, and technical due diligence; Actively undertake business development and client development activities to ensure continuity of work; Provide guidance to project teams working across a range of technical disciplines and commodities; Prepare tenders, proposals and reports for both internal and external clients; Supervise, review/evaluate activities undertaken by junior staff; Liaise with specialists from other disciplines and offices within WSP; Provide safety leadership in identifying and alleviating/eliminating high priority safety hazards; Mentor and develop staff in the interests of their long-term career objectives and operational needs; Conduct all work to satisfy all company, client and government conditions, policies, procedures, regulations and standards. About you: Bachelor of Science degree in Geology or related discipline; Demonstrated experience in one of the industry accepted mine planning and geology software packages e.g. Vulcan, Leapfrog, Surpac or Datamine highly desirable; Experience within a mining environment will be highly regarded; Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills; Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team of professionals; Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail; An advanced level of computer literacy and the ability to analyse data; Fantastic analytical and problem-solving skills; Excellent project management skills and the ability to build relationships with both internal and external clients; Excellent communication skills, strong report writing skills and problem-solving ability.
