One of Australia's leading Federal Government departments is looking to engage an experienced Senior Gateway Engineer with in-depth ICT platforms knowledge to provide expert advice on the management and maintenance of those platforms. You will also work closely with key third party suppliers to ensure the provision of robust gateway infrastructure.
The role can be based in Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide, or Melbourne, with the successful Senior Gateway Engineer being offered a 12-month contract with 2 X 12 month extension options .
The successful Senior Gateway Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Managing the provision of infrastructure related operational support for hardware, software, and other assets Analysing the quality of requests for Change Management Assisting in the development and implementation of strategies and operational policies Undertaking research on emerging technologies to provide recommendations on product suitability The successful Senior Gateway Engineer will have experience in the following:
Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto Firewalls Ability to coach and mentor less experienced colleagues Experience with Routing and Switching infrastructure Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, and Google This is a great opportunity with a leading Federal Government Agency to join an established and friendly team!
