The Compliance and Intelligence Division is responsible for improving compliance with hunting laws and regulations.The RoleSenior Game Officers (SGOs) deliver high quality community-centred game hunting compliance services within a state segment (Eastern or Western Victoria), while also contributing to state-wide service delivery.The responsibilities of the Senior Game Officer will include:Delivering game compliance services across the compliance spectrum to the regional community as part of the broader state-wide compliance program.Maintaining good working relationships with community stakeholders and partner agencies, including Victoria Police, Parks Victoria, Victorian Fisheries Authority, Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) and Traditional Owner Corporations.Providing advice and educational services, making presentations at stakeholder meetings/gatherings, and attending relevant shows and exhibitions.About YouThe successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:Mandatory requirements include a qualification as an Authorised Officer Basic (Legal 1) or equivalent and a current Victorian Diver's Licence.Highly developed interpersonal skills and sound judgement, with the ability to assess situations and make appropriate and informed decisions.Highly developed ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders or groups.Further InformationFor a confidential discussion, please contact Zac Powell, Director, Compliance and Intelligence on 0407 887 254 or ****** candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Records Check prior to commencing employment with the Department.
