We currently have a brilliant opportunity for a Senior Fund Analyst to join the Lendlease Investment Management business, supporting the APPF Commercial Fund.
The Senior Fund Analyst will support the Fund Manager and Deputy Fund Manager to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of fund analytics and reporting – taking the lead role on developing and managing fund models, conducting financial analysis, and monitoring fund performance against the fund strategy and budget.
As an integral part of our APPF Funds team, you will be responsible for analysing investment opportunities, conducting research, and providing valuable insights, assisting the Fund Manager and Deputy Fund Manager in making and recommending investment decisions across existing assets as well as new investment opportunities.
You'll also gain diverse exposure across development and operational asset management.
Key Deliverables: Provide strategic financial analysis to support with developing the fund strategy, budget and KPI's.
Assist with identifying new business opportunities, evaluating proposals for new property investments and/or dispositions, supporting due diligence activities, and preparing investment recommendations.
Utilise knowledge of the APPF Commercial portfolio, property and capital markets to inform recommendations and create key messaging to be delivered to internal and external stakeholders.
Assist with the analysis and evaluation of development and major projects across the portfolio and work in conjunction with Development and Asset Management to ensure alignment with the fund strategy and targets.
Assist with fund capital raising initiatives with financial analysis, the preparation of models, investor presentations and corresponding internal reporting, and managing investor due diligence.
Support the fund and debt committee with fund capital management plans, monitoring, analysis and decision making.
Assist with preparing various types of presentations for Board and Investors Assist in assessing individual asset performance (including capex and leasing performance) working closely with the asset management team To see success, the ideal candidate will have – Relevant tertiary qualifications in Property Economics, Commerce, Business Finance or Real Estate.
CFA and Master of Finance (or similar qualifications) are looked upon favourably.
Several years' experience and a track record of performance in real estate, investment & funds management, analytics or a related field.
Proven experience in developing and maintaining complex financial models, including integrated financial statements, to analyse investment performance including cash flows, valuations and other performance metrics to support asset management decisions.
Experience in negotiating and/or reviewing relevant property related documentation such as leases, development agreements and valuation reports.
Superior analytical skills.
This may include an ability to work with complex database and/or quantitative tools beyond excel, such as MRI.
Strong aptitude for problem solving and critical thinking, including curiosity to explore new angles to solve problems and provide valuable, actionable insights.
Ability to prepare and present polished analysis and commentary that is accurate, concise and insightful, with strong narrative and structure.
Ability to proactively and independently plan and prioritise workflows, taking the initiative on tasks that will add value and optimise team efficiency.
A team-player mindset, focused on working collaboratively within and across teams.
