Overview The role is working for a leading restaurant business with 100s of locations across Australia as well stores internationally. They have a large digital presence responsible for 100s of millions of revenue each year.

They are going through a digital transformation, and will see multiple teams being build to help grow the business and scale their offering.

They are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to work within a newly formed cross-functional team. The development teams support, maintain and develop features for their core digital properties, this will allow for a full suite of offering for a restaurant business such as delivery, in store ordering, third party such as delivery vendors and also payments. These are large, complex, high traffic & high availability systems and they are looking for talented engineers to grow with them.

This particular team will focus on creating business applications to help optimise the environment, working closely with the Product Manager and the business you will use the latest technologies to build solutions to support internal business units.

The team is being built is in a flat structure, however, as they grow future teams will offer you a route to leadership, people or technical, and genuine career development, expect to have a broad scope in this role.


In this role, you will; Review requirements, specifications, and other related documents.Develop and maintain our web applications using JavaScript/ TypeScript, Node.js, and React.Design and implement serverless architectures on AWS, utilizing services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, and API Gateway.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.Help maintain code quality, identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.Assist in the development of our CI/CD pipeline and other DevOps tasks.Stay up to date with development tools and methodologies.Ideally you will have; Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.8+ years software development experience, with strong programming skills in JavaScript, with experience in Typescript, Node.js and React.Excellent understanding of database design, both relational, NoSQL, and OLAPExtensive experience with cloud and serverless environments (e.g., Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway).Understanding of software design principles, including Agile methodologies.Experience with source control (like Git), test-driven development, and automated testing frameworks.Strong problem-solving skills, with a creative and analytical mind.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.Able to work effectively in a team, as well as independently when required.
