Senior Full Stack Engineer (Node.Js, Aws) - Contract - Fintech

Opportunity to play a pivotal role in a transformative migration project.
My client is a FinTech Start-up who is moving a significant part of their business operations to a new platform, impacting everything from in-house operations and reporting to consumer-facing apps and service infrastructure.
We're looking for a skilled Senior Full Stack Engineer (Node.js, AWS) to ensure a seamless migration while laying the foundation for next-generation reporting and operational systems.
Key responsibilities include:

Deploying scalable services on AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Coding with and Node.js and React

Managing Data Migrations and designing Database Architectures.
Updating middleware and enhancing borrower-facing applications.
Writing robust automated tests to ensure reliability.
Building data pipelines and a new data lake to enable advanced reporting (experience with this is a bonus)


This is a high-impact role that directly drives scalability, innovation, and customer experience improvements.
It's ideal for someone who thrives in a fast paced start up.
The majority of the team do hybrid working at Sydney HQ.
The ideal person would be Sydney based however could potentially be anywhere in ANZ for the right candidate.
Opportunity to go permanent at the end of the contract - Market leading salary and ESOP.
- The business has 10x this year and is aiming to do the same next year, growing very quickly
- Key initiatives after this initial contract are utilising LLMs to fully automate their application system - lots of fun challenges to do this at scale.
