About the opportunity VicRoads is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior FP&A Manager to join our dynamic Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. Reporting directly to the Head of FP&A, the successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering responsive and efficient financial business partnering services with a strong stakeholder-focused approach. This position is responsible for providing guidance and finance business partnering support to the wider business & finance team, including the analytics team.
Your key responsibilities include:
Provide comprehensive financial business partnering services, including budget and forecast development, monitoring and analysis of actual financial performance, to support internal stakeholders' business planning and decision-making.Collaborate with the broader FP&A team to prioritise workloads, allocate resources, and deliver efficient financial business partnering services with a client-centric focus.Support the implementation of VicRoads' financial strategy, policies, and budget priorities while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, accounting frameworks, policies, and procedures.Offer specialist knowledge and influential financial management advice to empower internal stakeholders in their strategic planning and overall business performance.Utilise expertise in business systems to develop effective reporting and analytics practices across the organization, leveraging ERP systems, business analytics platforms, forecasting tools, and project reporting software.Employ advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to devise and implement innovative solutions and strategies that enhance financial and business performance, mitigate financial risks, and address internal stakeholder needs.About you What you will need to succeed:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.CPA or CA membership.Strong technical knowledge in financial and management accounting principles and practices.Proven experience in delivering financial business partnering services and effectively leading and managing teams in service delivery.Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to write and present comprehensive financial reports.Ability to build robust relationships with internal clients and provide effective financial business partnering services.Experience in reviewing, developing, and continuously improving financial business partnering frameworks, strategies, and policies.Proven leadership skills that effectively motivate and develop less experienced employees through mentorship and guidance.Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for analysing complex financial and business scenarios to identify root causes and develop data-driven solutions.Highly desirable: working experience with Workday and Adaptive Planning.Why Join VicRoads?
