The role We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Forecasting, Planning & Analysis Analyst to join the organisation and become a key member of CareFlight's Finance team.
Reporting to the Group Forecasting, Planning & Analysis Manager, your key objective for the role will be to prepare clear and insightful analysis and supporting commentary to help enable transformative cost and efficiency improvements. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Support FP&A Manager in the development of a best practice Forecast, Planning and Analysis function that works as a true business partner Deliver accurate and timely key insights and recommendations to senior management, for decision making purposes including scenario analysis and risk and opportunities Support the development of improved budgeting, forecasting and business planning processes and tools to achieve greater accuracy of budgets and forecasts Support Group FP&A Manager & CFO in driving process automation, systems integration and development and execution of solutions to improve efficiencies and ultimately deliver better and more timely business insights Support the business planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles working closely with the Group FP&A Manager, CFO, COO, CEO, broader Executive Team, and Finance Team to deliver the required quality outputs Provide quality financial variance analysis to Senior Management Partner with stakeholders to provide value added support and guidance Source, extract and interrogate quantitative and qualitative data covering a diverse range of organisational activities such as rostering, mission data, aircraft maintenance, payroll, ESG, supplier, customer quoting and billing, SHEQ, contractual operational KPI metrics etc. Translate and analyse this data so that it is understandable and actionable to drive financial and operational efficiency improvements Support development of Business Intelligence dashboard reporting Develop reports that are understandable by non-accountants Key contributor to delivery of system projects as part of a broader Business Transformation program Assist with development of tender pricing models to support tender submissions Work closely with senior managers and C-Suite executives to influence decision making Perform other duties and assignments as instructed from time to time. To be successful in this role you will have the following: Eight years + experience in analyst roles Undergraduate degree in Finance/Accounting CA/CPA or equivalent qualification Proven analytical and problem-solving skills and working to deadlines Strong attention to detail Proficient with Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word Excellent communication (verbal and written) Strong customer service mindset with a team player mentality Advanced excel modelling, database, and system skills with Power BI experience desirable. Solid understanding of business reporting including Executive and Board levels Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills essential. Strong interpersonal skills Pro-active and energetic and displays strong interpersonal skills when engaging with stakeholders (internal and external). The following will be highly regarded:
Experience using Adaptive FP&A system Demonstrated experience in proactively taking steps to improve existing processes, procedures, and systems Experience in an aviation and/or medical organisation will be highly regarded.
