The role On the back of a strong pipeline of work, we are seeking a senior flood and stormwater engineer (5+ years of experience) but if you have fewer years of experience, please feel free to apply as we can tailor the role to you.
You will be involved in or leading hydrologic and hydraulic modelling and mapping for projects such as flood studies, floodplain management plans, land development, building applications, insurance assessments, and road infrastructure designs. Opportunities will exist to assist on research projects. Your key responsibilities will be:
Hydrological and hydraulic modelling Concept design of flood mitigation and drainage infrastructure Project and client management QA Proposal writing and business development Input into business planning and strategy Training, mentoring and guiding junior engineering staff This is a full-time position with an attractive salary package commensurate with your level of experience and qualifications and access to the employee profit distribution scheme.
We are based in our Melbourne office, with hybrid working arrangements; however, other flexible work arrangements can be considered.
About you You should be self-motivated, keen to learn, and able to work as part of a team. Requirements for the job include:
A degree in civil/environmental engineering or relevant sciences Extensive experience in TUFLOW and RORB modelling Experience in other flood modelling related software such as MIKEFLOOD, FLIKE, HEC-RAS, URBS, and XP-RAFTS is highly desirable Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent time management skills and task adaptability A strong interest to advance your skills and responsibilities Apply Suitable applicants must currently reside in Australia, have the right to work in Australia, and possess a driver's license.
