Collaborate within a Software Engineering team to deliver products and services, supporting the Lead Flight Software Engineer with technical planning of work packages. Serve as a Responsible Engineer for Flight Software products, conducting technical assessments such as concept studies, trade studies, and COTS solution analyses. Ability to fulfill the role of Technical Authority on behalf of the Chief Engineer, as requested. Lead small product teams on a quarterly basis and contribute to the development of software engineering designs, processes, and activities. Follow and participate in product development processes, including requirements definition, design, verification, and validation. Support unit and integration testing, operational troubleshooting, and issue resolution, with potential travel to remote sites. Support architecture development, technology strategy, and execution of the Software team. Engage in Research and Development initiatives and support software engineering production activities for Launch Vehicle and Satellite product lines. Coordinate with Mechanical, Propulsion, Manufacturing, and Production teams, as well as external suppliers and stakeholders. Ensure that all engineering activities adhere to company policies, plans, and procedures and fulfill other duties as requested by management. Mandatory Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in either Software, Computer Science, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a relevant qualification. 5+ years of experience in professional Embedded Software design engineering settings (excluding internships). 3+ years of end-to-end Embedded Software product development experience. NV1 Security Clearance eligible. Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, demonstrating resilience in high-stress situations and a supportive approach with team members. Proficiency in C/C++ and Python, with experience with baremetal, RTOS, FPGA (VHDL/Verilog) and embedded Linux software development. Experience developing aerospace, automotive, medical or similar (high-reliability, safety-critical) software. Knowledge of aerospace software engineering standards (e.g., DO-178C) and experience with rigorous software documentation, testing, debugging (e.g., GDB) and production tools (e.g., static / dynamic analysis and code coverage). Proficient in DevOps activities, including infrastructure management, CI/CD development, and git workflows. Familiarity with Systems Engineering practices and experience developing software under both Waterfall and Agile frameworks. How to Apply:
