We're on the lookout for a Senior Fire Engineer to join a top-tier construction and engineering consultancy in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex, high-profile projects, delivering cutting-edge fire safety solutions that make a real impact.
In this role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring that projects meet safety standards from concept to completion. Collaborating with architects, engineers, and contractors, you'll develop fire safety strategies that not only comply with regulations but also reflect industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:Design and implement fire safety strategies for diverse construction projects, ensuring alignment with Australian fire regulations and global standards.Perform fire risk assessments, safety audits, and simulations to identify potential risks and recommend solutions.Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate fire safety measures into overall designs.Draft comprehensive fire engineering reports, technical specifications, and documentation to support compliance and approvals.Offer expert guidance to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies throughout project lifecycles.Mentor and support junior engineers, providing technical leadership within the team.Stay informed about advancements in fire engineering, building codes, and industry trends.What We're Looking For:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.At least 7 years of experience in fire engineering, preferably in the construction sector.Comprehensive knowledge of Australian fire safety codes, building regulations, and international standards.Proven experience in fire protection design, risk analysis, and system implementation across various building types.Proficiency in fire modelling tools like FDS, PyroSim, or similar software.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to devise innovative fire safety solutions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards it is advantageous.A valid driver's license.What's in It for You:Competitive salary and relocation package, including performance-based bonuses.Clear pathways for career progression and professional growth.Flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.Comprehensive benefits, including health insurance and life cover.Generous annual leave allowance.Support for professional development and membership fees.Apply now for immediate consideration or contact Shakeel Kazmi for a confidential discussion.
