Our client is seeking a
Senior Financial Operations Analyst
to assist the Manager of Financial Operations and the wider finance team in managing the financial accounting and compliance aspects of their project. This role involves fostering strong relationships to ensure that reporting and financial analysis align with stakeholder needs.
The suitable candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial policies while collaborating with the Finance team and project stakeholders to meet financial objectives. This position will support the preparation of accurate financial reports to fulfill statutory obligations and ensure compliance with indirect tax laws, including GST and BFT. This role involves providing expert advice and training to managers and staff on the financial system and reporting requirements. Additionally, they will lead a compliance review program to ensure financial diligence and address any remedial actions as well as support the timely production of financial statements, rigorous account reconciliations, and various financial operations such as purchase orders and accounts payable.
The successful candidate will hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Finance and demonstrate strong independent judgment in navigating complex financial accounting decisions in the absence of clear policies. They should have exceptional interpersonal skills and excel in negotiation, issue resolution, and cultivating strong relationships with stakeholders. Furthermore, they should possess problem-solving expertise that enables them to gather essential information and create effective solutions, while their analytical skills allow them to identify trends in audit findings and suggest improvements.

This pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading.
